Let’s Cut Your Ribbon

Make a splash: Chamber offers Ribbon Cuttings and Grand Openings

Ribbon cuttings and grand opening ceremonies benefit our Chamber members by generating publicity for their businesses.

Requests for a ribbon cutting should be made to the Chamber office four weeks prior to the desired date. This gives invited officials time to add your event to their schedules.  Your Chamber membership also must be current.

The Chamber notifies and invites representatives from:
* City of Arcadia: Mayor, Council members, police and fire officials
* Chamber: Board of Directors, Ambassadors and other Members
* Elected Officials: (including but not limited to) Congresswoman Judy Chu, State Senator Dr. Ed Hernandez, Assemblymember Blanca Rubio, Assemblymember Ed Chau and County Supervisor Kathryn Barger

If you are mailing out your own invitations, please send a sample invitation to the Chamber office either via email or snail-mail.

Ceremonies may be scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday afternoons from 3-5 p.m. Other time frames can be accommodated given proper lead time of 4 weeks prior to the event. The host business is encouraged to provide refreshments, and invite additional guests, including friends, neighboring businesses, customers, vendors, press, etc.

Your event will be listed on the Chamber web site for all to see, as well as Facebook and Twitter. The Chamber will also send a press release to dozens of local media outlets, so please let us know if you are doing anything special for your event, such as performers, or give-aways/raffle-drawings.

Please send the following to the Chamber:

  • logo
  • flyer
  • photo of your business

Balloons always are festive and help draw attention to your event.

The Chamber will promote your event (before and after) and coordinate presentations from officials for the ribbon-cutting and certificates of congratulations.

We look forward to helping you present your business to the community!
