Lunchtime guests enjoyed a rustic treat at new Arcadia Chamber of Commerce member Del Frisco’s Grille at 55 South Lake Avenue in Pasadena at today’s Love Lunch (Feb. 24), sponsored by The Law Offices of Hart, Mieras, and Morris, Inc. Seated on the patio, more than two dozen Chamber members, government officials and friends networked and enjoyed each other’s company while munching on Del Frisco’s traditional flat breads, ahi tacos and various entrees.
Before the dining began, Arcadia Chamber of Commerce CEO Scott Hettrick led a ceremony for the one year-old eatery, introducing presentations of certificates by the Chamber, the City of Arcadia, and Congresswoman Judy Chu representative Elizabeth to General Manager Anthony “Tony” Dougherty. Anthony spent a lifetime in Philadelphia and first began work for the company at locations around that region before coming to open the Pasadena shop less than two years ago. He said creating and maintaining a familiar family aspect is a priority, and that was definitely shown in the friendliness of staff and their attention to detail. Using local ingredients also shows their commitment to the community.

Open since 2014, Del Frisco’s Grille’s Pasadena location is a prime spot for both lunch and dinner, along famed Lake Avenue. Guest favorites include their delicious flat breads (also available gluten-free), amazing salads and creative sandwiches, all showing a traditional flare alongside some new classics. Food plating is spectacular, with each dish set with ultimate care. They are also open late and available for events. The patio area is perfect for hosting, while the classic lounge-feel of the dining area makes for an intimate setting on a romantic night out. Wine flight Wednesdays are also popular, where one can taste three wines handpicked by their sommelier for only $15.00.
Among the Chamber members in attendance were Arcadia Chamber President Andrew Gregson of The Executive Factor and President-Elect Vicki Knight of Century Rooter Service & Plumbing, Congresswoman Judy Chu representative Viola Van, Arcadia Chamber Ambassador chairman Rich Jones of the San Marino Tribune, Networking Breakfast emcee Rod Salazar of Stubbie Promotions and Printing Control, incoming Chamber CEO Karen Mac Nair, returning Arcadia Chamber member recruiter Kristy Thatcher Bradshaw, new Arcadia Chamber Ambassador and newly-announced Citizen of the Year Bruce McCallum and his wife Joanne, Arcadia Chinese Association President Francine Chiu, and many others.
The Love Lunches were created by the Chamber for members and prospective members who love lunch and love getting out of their homes or away from their offices for a chance to relax, meet some new people and network. Attendees are invited to come any time between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month. We meet at a different restaurant each time. You can order what you want, stay as long as you can and pay individually!
We hope to see you at our next Love Lunch at Cabrera’s Mexican Cuisine, at 625 E. Live Oak Ave., Arcadia.
