International Movies at Arcadia Public Library
The days get shorter, you can escape to faraway places through the movies at the Arcadia Public Library. The Library is proud to present a year-long series of foreign
films on the second Wednesday of each month. Patrons 18 and over are welcome to attend. On Wednesday, October 16, the Library will present “Of Gods and Men,” a moving story of a group of priests in an Algerian monastery on the eve of a populist rebellion. On November 13, “Good Bye Lenin” intertwines the fall of communism in East Germany with a son’s efforts to protect his mother from the truth. The year ends on December 11, with “Zhou Yu’s Train,” a surreal love story. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the movie starting at 6:00 p.m. Bring your dinner if you wish – dessert is on us.
