We’ve changed our name!

Options for Learning

(formerly Options—A Child Care
and Human Services Agency)
Our new name tells our story better.
It tells parents and our community more about what you do every day for the children at Options for Learning. Whether you’ve been here for three days or three decades, your commitment has paid off. Because of your efforts, Options for Learning is able to provide enviably high quality family services, educational child care, preschool, and after school programs.
It may take time for people (some of us, too!) to get used to saying “Options for Learning.” And along with our new name, our logo has changed and we have a new website:

We want to keep growing as an organization. The more people who understand who we are and what we do, the better we can keep serving our communities. Your help is appreciated.
Thank you for your effort and enthusiasm,

High School

At La Salle High School of Pasadena, we honor this mission in our simple, but profound effort to produce good students and good people through a comprehensive college preparatory education. By comprehensive I mean that, at La Salle, each student will find his or her own niche inside the classroom and out. With over 20 varsity teams, an outstanding – and award winning – Visual and Performing Arts program, and a wide array of co-curricular activities, every student entrusted to our care can find a way to nurture their unique attributes.  All of this is accomplished in a community environment in which the most common adjective used to describe life at La Salle is the word “family.”

Non-Profit Organization

The Arcadia Educational Foundation (AEF) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1981  in response to substantially reduced federal and state funding for California public schools.

The Arcadia Educational Foundation’s purpose is to raise funds for the Arcadia Unified School District.  The Foundation is administered by parent and community member Trustees who represent the interests of each of Arcadia’s 10 public schools.

AEF runs the annual summer school program and offers $25,000 in teacher grants each year. It also funds the District-wide phone and text communication system so that school officials can communicate with parents in a timely and convenient manner. In recent years AEF has also funded teacher positions due to State-wide budget cuts.

AEF has helped to ensure, through its fundraising efforts, that the Arcadia Unified School District is  among the finest in the state of California.
